Department of Hawaiian Home Lands Event at Papakōlea
Leadership from the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands will be coming to Stevenson Middle School’s cafeteria at 6:30 PM to listen to and address the most pressing issues affecting the Papakōlea, Kewalo, and Kalāwahine homesteads. I am attending to listen to those concerns and learn more about how DHHL will address them or how I could help as a state legislator.
Arcadia Talk Story
I will be having a talk-story event with residents at the Arcadia Retirement Residence, Punahou location on July 22 (Wednesday) from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. If you are an Arcadia resident, please drop by for a chat!
Voter Service Centers Open
Voter Service Centers at Honolulu Hale and Kapolei Hale open for voters to drop off their ballots! The service centers will be open from Monday through Saturday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, until August 8. On August 8, they will be open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Mail your ballots early, or get your ballot to the yellow drop box at Honolulu Hale or Kapolei Hale by 7:00 PM on August 8. Make sure that your ballot is signed so it can be counted!

Civil Beat Candidate Forum
Civil Beat will be hosting an online candidate forum (register here) on July 15 (Wednesday) from 12:00 to 2:00 PM. Ever since Civil Beat started publishing locally (2010!), I've been a huge fan of their insightful journalism. It is a real honor to be invited to a forum by people that I have long looked up to.
Lutheran Church of Honolulu Statewide Candidate Forum
The Lutheran Church of Honolulu will be hosting a small town hall event on July 14 (Tuesday) from 7:00 to 8:00 PM. I’ll be joined by candidates in this race and other local races. I passed by the church all the time when I walked to school, and I’m excited to participate in a candidate forum there!
Hawaiʻi Council of Community Associations Legislative Town Hall
The Hawaiʻi Council of Community Associations will host a free legislative town hall at The Bay at Dole Cannery on July 11 (Saturday) from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Registration for this event is required (register here). Come say hi at my campaign table!
Lanakila Multi-Purpose Senior Center Candidates Fair and BBQ
Catholic Charities Hawaiʻi is hosting a candidate fair at the Lanakila Multi-Purpose Senior Center on July 8 (Wednesday) from 9:00 to 10:30 AM. They’re also having their July 4th BBQ, so have some good food and a chat with me!
Mōʻiliʻili Summer Fest
The Mōʻiliʻili Summer Fest returns to the Waiānuenue ma Kapaʻakea (Old Varsity Building) Parking Lot on July 4 (Saturday) from 5:00 to 10:00 PM. Enjoy tons of good food and participate in the bon dance!

Irei no Hi (Battle of Okinawa Remembrance Event)
The Hawaiʻi United Okinawa Association will have their annual “Irei no Hi” remembrance event to honor the people who lost their lives during the Battle of Okinawa. Join us for a potluck-style dinner (please bring a dish if you can) at the Hawaiʻi Okinawa Center Legacy Ballroom (directions here) on June 22 (Monday) from 7:00 to 8:30 PM.
